Glimmer Mist is the same great product with a Fabulous NEW Look! Tattered Angels is having a giveaway to promote their new labels on their yummy Glimmer Mist bottles. Go check it out! I tell you when I bought my first glimmer mist I wasn't a big fan, then as I started looking at how others used them I fell in love. I didn't realize how many different ways you can use these and how fun they are to use. I must give kudos to the talented Miss Vicki. She sent me some as a gift and that's when I really started playing with them and using them more. I'm journaling in an old book kind of altering it and these new colors would be great to use in it.

Where has the time gone?

HAPPY ALMOST 4TH OF JULY AMERICA!!!!

I was shocked to see it had been so long since I posted to my poor blog. This could be why, right now as I type I have a dog clawing my arm and barking at me. I'll be back she must need out. Okay lets try this again with a bowl of cereal on my way back through the kitchen.

My health is not good, I have several issues that probably stem from my obesity. That said, things are going to have to change in my life drastically if I want to live a healthy, happy, creative, simple, joyful life for years to come. The problem is that it is hard. So I'm going to try and makes changes some I'm not sure of how to yet as I have multiple appointment's coming up and need to learn about my disease. What an ugly word. I have a surgery coming up to take care of another issue in July so I will be off work a couple of weeks. Enough of that!

We are going to Iowa next week to celebrate my in laws 50Th Anniversary! Wow can you imagine? My hubby and I just celebrated our 25Th. So the whole family will be there which has been years, even a niece back from Japan from her teaching assignment. This should be a wonderful time.

Another note of health. My shadow, Queen of the Golden Eye Princesses Annie has a bad kidney infection. We are treating her with antibiotics and will find out more results in another week when they come back from the lab. She is almost eight years old as best we can tell since we have had her 7 years August 1st and found her living on the streets. She brings me such joy I so hope this isn't something more than an infection.

Just touching base with myself and I do daily touch base on your blogs even though I don't leave a comment. I'm hoping to get back into some art soon to help heal my soul! HUGS RAINY

Happy Mothers Day Mom I miss You!

It’s hard to believe it was fives years ago.
All though the snow came we all let her go.

No complaint through the long months of pain she suffered.
Always strong, no nonsense was her motto.

She loved us all like no other Mother.
You had to know because affectionate she wasn’t.

I suppose some viewed her as heartless and hard.
If they walked in her shoes they wouldn’t have gone far.

Time was such a big factor in her life.
The dishes, laundry, jobs, and being a wife.

So many people take life for granted, living in a home with a roof and a kitchen.
A tent by the river her family stayed, an old boxcar some nights is where they laid.

It took me a long time to understand you Mother!
I love you and miss you like no other.

Two Things

First: I came home to a cute little package in the mail. I won these black glass buttons from the New England bloggers May giveaway from Basia. I said I collected buttons, but my buttons are nothing like these beautiful things. These will be set aside for something special. I wish my picture did them justice. Second: I love when my husband brings me home little gifts. I'm sure this wouldn't excite too many others, but it does me. Look at this thin copper wire he dropped in my hands today. I squealed, I can't wait to put it on a project. HUGS

HELP!!!!! All Dog Lovers Bernie Needs HELP!!!!!

Please go to a Place to Bark and donate today!!!!!!!! She needs help and she gives so much of herself to try and save every dog she can. She is just 2500.00 dollars shy of getting a matching grant of 10,000.00. Even if you can spare 5.00 anything will help. I kept thinking I need to send 25.00 when I get around to it. Well the time is now!!!! If you have dogs please donate as a gift to them. I just looked at my budget and was able to come up with 100.00. I challenge all you artist, scrapbookers, animal lovers, compassionate people to make some kind of donation today!!! Classes and a Give Away

Yes I'm still alive, all though I have worked a lot lately, 81 hours in one week. Too Much for this old lady.

First: I'm bursting to tell you I got in to all four Tim Holtz classes at Stamp Asylum. Yeah!!!!! I think I will learn some great techniques.

Second: Go to Catherine Matthews-Scanlon's blog. Her group of New England bloggers are having a May Day giveaway on all of their blogs. I went through them all and picked 3 I'm going to start following that look like I will enjoy. Don't sign up for Catherine's giveaway though because I want to win the sea glass!!!!! LOL
